ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Leveraging more than 25 years of experience in the field of visual communication, experiential and interactive design, I decided to give back to the community by starting with teaching (in 2010) and now running academic programs.

2014. VITRUVIAN POWER

In 2014 four of my “Interactive Media Management” students at George Brown College School of Design (in Toronto) won the “Sharing Energy in 2030” international challenge organized by Electricité de France (EDF) the French leader in energy production. The winning concept answered a simple question, could the human being individually produce, harvest and store energy? The four mousquetaires and myself designed a garment which could harvest solar, thermal and kinetic energy. 3 years and two generations of porotypes later the team travelled the world to work with fashion, textile and energy experts, a true multi disciplinary collaboration.

2016. CISCO HEDRON

Cisco, the information technology world leader wanted to work with an inter disciplinary team of students in order to augment the experience of their innovation center visitors in Toronto. The mission was to explore in particular a more immersive and interactive usage of the two touch walls manufactured by Prysm. I assembled an “Ocean 11” style team made of graphic designers, game designers, computer engineers and interactive designers. The team dove right into Cisco’s business strategy (digital transformation and systems design and integration) and created an impressive prototype, called Cisco Hedron (the faces of Cisco) equally as creative (interactive) as technically intelligent (gaming engine Unity) which took the user into an immersive and interactive story.
